What is Red IPA?

Red IPA is hoppy, bitter, and quite strong like American IPA, but with a caramel, malty, or fruity character like amber ale. The main difference between red IPA and American IPA lies in the malt blend and the final product’s colour. 

Red IPA is typically slightly more flavourful and maltier than American IPA but is neither sweet nor heavy-bodied.

Origin Story

Red IPA is another experiment in the world of IPAs. Malt blends are always being experimented with, thus this lightly reddish beer was born. 

Since this beer is mainly distinguished by its colour, its popularity is not high and its production not widespread.
